Services Offered:
Lead Paint Inspections are performed in residential and child-occupied buildings following the HUD protocol on interior and/or exterior painted surfaces. Limited-scope inspections are performed for OSHA compliance interests in industrial or commercial buildings or on equipment. We use state of the art XRF test equipment, complemented with paint chip sampling as appropriate, to test paint levels. Our instruments save customers money since they have no inconclusive range or substrate corrections, and are equipped with full datalog and download capabilities. Reports can be complemented with CAD drawings if desired.
Lead Risk Assessments are performed to determine current lead hazards, in which all damaged paints, interior dust and exterior soils are tested for lead and assessed for condition and remediation recommendations.
Lead Training courses cover worker/supervisor, RRP, and awareness or O&M applications.
Lead Air Sampling is performed to determine worker or area exposures around lead disturbance activities and whether lead regulated areas are adequately cleaned for non-protected personnel to enter.
Lead Wipe Sampling is recommended after lead disturbance in residential and child-occupied areas if children will be immediately present. We have developed an innovative method for field screening wipe samples which increases the pass rate from <50% to over 90% at amodest additional cost. This method is particularly cost effective when re-mobilization costs are significant or when obtaining clearance the first time is mission critical.
Lead Management (Operations and Maintenance) Programs are developed when lead paint is going to be managed in-place.
Lead OSHA Compliance Assistance includes air monitoring, exposure assessment, as well as awareness training and written program assistance.
